In this article, I will show you how to access an EC2 instance using Putty.
π₯οΈ Step 1: Download Putty
go to https://google.com, search for putty, you would get the website as below.
click on the putty.org website link, you would come to the website https://putty.org, as below.
click on the Download putty, you would come to the website as below.
click on the putty.exe link as per your machine configuration.
π¦ Step 2: Install Putty
After Download you would get putty.exe file as below.
Just Install it, after installation you would get putty application as below
βοΈ Step 3: Configure Basic Settings
Write a name for the connection
After that you have to add details to below Fields
HOST: 3.134.117.146 (Your EC2 public IP)
Port: 22 (in general)
Connection Type: SSH
it would look as below
π Step 4: Add Private Key Pair
on the left menu bar you would see Connection, expand that
from the drop down select SSH
again from the drop down select Credentials
Click on Browse..just below Private key file for Authentication
select the ppk file that I have shown in the blog EC2 setup
you would get a screen like below
Now click on Session/span> from the left menu bar
Now click on Save/span>
Your setup is done
π Step 5: Connect
Now again open putty, select the session you have saved as below
and just double click on the selected session
you would see a screen as below
provide the username and password
Username: ubuntu (Your EC2 server username, if you didn't changed it would be ubuntu)
Password: ubuntu (Your EC2 server password, if you didn't changed it would be ubuntu)

Congratulations! You've successfully connected your EC2 instance with your Putty.
